If you are a reader

Corrections are the most valuable message we get. Send the article, the line, and a source if you have one. We will correct it on the article with a date and a note.

If there is a subject you tried to understand and could not find explained properly anywhere, that is worth sending too. A fair number of our articles started that way.

If we have written about you or your organisation

Tell us what is wrong and what the accurate version is. Disagreement with the framing is worth raising as well, and it will be read, but a specific factual dispute is what we can act on fastest. We do not remove published articles; we correct them and say what changed.

Requests to see an article before publication are declined.

If you are a journalist or researcher

Quote us with attribution and a link. For republication of a full article, or for anything requiring a licence, write first. We do not run guest articles and we do not publish press releases as journalism.

If you want your data

Ask us what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including a comment you have left and everything stored with it. The privacy policy sets out the detail.
